What Customers Say About Apple iPod classic 160 GB Silver (6th Generation):

love it connect this to your altec 812 wirless and you feel you are at a concert.

bucks for the first set, but now I have to buy a new set because the old ones are not compataible. I all ready paid [.]. bucks from apple.

The old one was passed down to my daughter. The old A/V cables will not work on the new one which is Bull-Puckey. I'm replacing my old 30Gb one with this 160 Gb.

They are [.]. Corporate greed the dock and docking cable are the same.Other than that I love it a little pricey though. It still works great but the 30Gb was to small to hold my entire collection. So, I bought this new one.

I love it there are a few differences the lay out of the menus, And one major difference.

And for some reason Klondike never gets old. I take it on tour with me and it withstands the beatings of excessive travel. This was a birthday present, and what a fine one it was. Battery charge lasts a good long while, I've had no interface problems (my last ipod-- a 2nd gen, froze all the time) and it even stores photos.

Let this review act as a bit of a buyer beware. My number one problem: songs keep going missing. One thing that I do love about this player is how quickly it charges. Or sometimes, just as annoying, the artist names don't show up, but I can find their album.I've also had some issues with stalling.

When I graduated high school back in 2005, a family member gave me an iPod Mini as a gift. You may have some of the same issues I've encountered, or maybe I just got a semi-lemon. Plug it in and it's ready in about two hours (much better than the older models). The battery died in the spring of 2008, which I temporarily replaced with one of those cheap do-it-yourself kits while waiting out until the holiday season to ask for an upgrade (college kids have no money).

Sometimes the volume locks and refuses to move, and I occasionally have the same problem while scrolling through the menu.I'm happy that I now have an iPod that can hold my entire library (minus the aforementioned missing tracks), but I can't completely get past the assortment of issues. Weighing the positives and negatives, I'd probably give it 3.5 stars. With about 5,500 songs in my library, I had also ran out of room on the old player, so I thought the Classic was the best deal for what I needed in GB.So, I've had the 80 GB iPod Classic Black for about 6 months now, and I wish I could say that I'm happy with the upgrade. I upload or download music to my library, but for some reason it never transfers to the iPod when I sync the system.

This time, I can recommend the Apple product with confidence. This 80GB Ipod classic was reliable for the year-plus our child owned it--until replacing it with another fancier Ipod Touch, The unit held more than 2,000 songs, with space to spare and the battery held up very nicely, unlike the batteries of other ipods we have owned. It was the third in a line of ipods, and the first not to strike out.
